Christina's Battle

This is the story of a young lady whose Mom attends our church. I have asked Christina  to tell you her story.
I was diagnosed with TNBC (triple-negative Breast Cancer) in 2013 at 22 years old. It presented as a cyst, and since the surgeon thought nothing was wrong, she just kept draining it.  She tested the fluid every time it got drained, and no cancer cells were present.  Finally she took the cyst out and when biopsied the lining of cyst, it was all cancer cells and ended up being Stage lll(a)because it was 8cm in size, as well as present in two lymph nodes on that side. I had 6 rounds of A/C and 6 rounds of Taxol, followed by 36 radiation treatments.

I was cancer free for 3 years, so I got cleared to get pregnant with my son( who just turned 8 months July 1st) I had a lovely first half of my pregnancy.
I grew concerned because there was a knot I felt in the center of my chest on my sternum that I noticed in May 2016 after my oncologist appointment in April 2016(where everything looked/felt fine).
I had the small lump biopsied just to check to see if any cancer was present. I got the biopsy done at 28 weeks pregnant, and it was TNBC again (stage IV (a) in my sternum. no one knew what to do with me because I was pregnant, so they didn't get me on Chemo until the end of September2016. I had 1 round of A/C while pregnant and delivered my perfect baby boy at 36 weeks 7 days.
I went the week after I gave birth and  had 1 Taxol treatment, after my baby came home from NICU they kept him to observe.  I had another round of Taxol the week after that and got a severe allergic reaction to it. I was taken off of Taxol and started on Gemzar/Carbolatin, which I just finished this past Friday.

Unfortunately, my tumor has become plantium-resistant and started growing again. They are planning surgery sometime  between now and the end of July to remove the tumor.

Unfortunately, this will put me out of work for probably the first month of school(at least), and we will need help with bills while I'm on short term disability. My husband has had to take FMLA , (to help me and the baby.)and he has used all of his personal days and vacation.

My Faith is strong but we still have bills that have to be paid. Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated and we are sure God will smile upon you as he has us. Pray with us on positive results with my surgery and our fund raiser.
