I have known Christina for about 10 years. Over those years I have enjoyed many things about her, particularly her wicked sense of humor and her amazing ability to capture beauty through the lens of her camera. I feel fortunate to be able to view the uniqeness of her art and to appreciate her wild spirit! I am happy to call her a friend and plan to contine to be able to keep her around for many, many more years to come!
Recently Christina received news of a cancer diagnosis. She wishes to be able to confront her cancer by incorporating more healthy fruits and vegetables into her diet via juicing, as has proven to be so beneficial in taking control of ones health in situations such as she has come into. I would like us to help Christina to purchase a Vitamix blender, a cost of approximately $300 as well as helping her to be able to obtain the produce required to prepare herself nutrition packed juices. My hope is to ultimately raise the cap on the donation total to be able to continue to support her during this journey. There will be various expenses that will arise during the course of her treatment, whatever she decides that to be, and every bit helps, no matter how small! Truly, a dollar here and five dollars there makes a huge difference. If you are not in the postition to help monetarilly, sharing the link is also of great assistance! update! We are blowing through the goals! Let's continue to help give Christina a cushion that she can draw from as the needs come up. She must continue working through her treatment to keep her medical insurance as well as to keep her head afloat with daily life exprenses such as rent etc. however there will be costs that arise such as medical co pays, prescriptions, good quality foods as mentioned above, as well as any other unexpected financial drains that come up, and they just aren't in her budget at the current time. These donations and shares you magnificent people have been making are ensuring that she can get through this battle without going into financial ruin or missing out on opportunities to try to create health for herself due to lack of funds. Sometimes family isn't only whom you're born to but who is there for you when you really need someone! The generosity and thoughtfulness you've shown and continue to show bring me to tears and Christina is so lucky to have such wonderful friends lifting her up! Together this CAN be beat!
