Christiana Duarte Memorial

Deputy District Attorney Michael Duarte, his wife Barbara, and their son Michael Jr. (Mikey) are mourning the loss of their wonderful daughter and sister, Christiana ("Chrissy"). 22 year old Chrissy lost her life Monday because of the senseless violence in Las Vegas. Chrissy was a bright beautiful young woman, full of life and energy. She had just graduated from University of Arizona in May, and was embarking on her career with her job as a fan-services associate for the Los Angeles Kings hockey team. There will obviously be expenses while the family mourns in Las Vegas, and to bring Chrissy home and lay her to rest. This is of course the last thing the Duarte family needs to worry about.
Additionally, the remaining proceeds will be used to establish a scholarship fund in Christiana's name. That’s why we are asking friends, coworkers and family to generously donate.
Please keep the Duarte Family in your hearts, thoughts and prayers. Michael and his family have already expressed their deep gratitude for the outpouring of support and sympathy. We will keep you updated as we find out more information.
