Christian's stem cell treatment

Donation protected
Our son, Christian is 5. years old. He has autism. Up until 18 months, he hit every milestone and things were running smoothly. Then, he suddenly wouldn't answer when we called his name, stopped making eye contact, started arm flapping, and stopped talking. Since then, we have tried anything we have been able to to try to give Christian the best possible outcome. We have behavior therapists(ABA) in and out of our home, wrap-around, take him to outpatient speech, occupational and physical therapy, changed his diet, and try to involve him in anything we hear about that would make any kind of difference. Until recently, there has not been much progression. As he got older, things became more difficult. His sleep patterns have given us many sleepless nights. We both work full time and have had no choice but to go to work running on empty. We were constantly running around and cleaning up food. Christian could not sit for more than a minute and would grab any food off of anyone or from anywhere and puts it in his mouth and throws it on the floor. We have our cabinets and refrigerator locked but it's not always that easy. We also cannot go anywhere without holding his hand in fear that he will run off and we will never see him again. We work with him every day on trying to get him to have a more functional life. He is our heart and one of the most adorable boys in the world. We have 3 boys and a baby girl. We pray and try everyday to help him have a better quality of life. Last October, we took Christian to Panama for his first stem cell treatment. Since then, we have noticed some pretty significant changes in his life, he is communicating better with his pictures on his device, says occasional words, sleeps much better at night, has increased eye contact, seems more aware, follows commands and directions, and most importantly is potty trained. Some who have had the treatment are now living a life free from all of the behaviors that used to take up their whole day. We want this for Christian. Stem cell treatment is not covered by insurance and is very costly. We are going to go back in August for 60 million more stem cells. The plan is to keep taking him until he is cured. We know of kids who have been cured in one visit and others who have went multiple times. We appreciate your help. Christian needs your help so that he can have a chance at a better life. Thanks for your support and sharing of his campaign.  Karen and Eric Deissler
