Children's Bibles for Needy Kids

$10,000 goal

Campaign created 11 months ago
The Christian Army is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to place age appropriate Bibles in the hands of needy children throughout Arizona.

Our cause is simple but the mission is hard!

Children today are bombarded with messages from society telling them drugs are fine in moderation, casual sex ("hook-up" culture) is acceptable and divorce is the family norm. These harmful messages are destorying an entire generation of children and teens.

This is especially true by families with little or no church attendance. Sadly, these facts are hammered home by the liberal media, Hollywood, peers, secular educators and news reports that attempt to sway the minds of our children.

We are aiming to change the negative messages children are receiving from society by giving them an alternative. Our goal is to place an "age apporate Bible" in the hands of every needy child who's parents cannot afford one.

Research shows American Christians make their commitment to Jesus between the ages of "four and fourteen years of age". Therefore, it is imperative that we impact the lives of children early on and teach the truth about right and wrong from the written word of God.   Simply put, every child needs a personal and age appropriate bible to learn and study from to counter the negative messages secular society directly and indirectly teaches our youth.

Futhermore, reading the Bible and praying daily keeps children and teens committed to Christ and Christian values. Even in time where their faith might be challenged such as in school or with peers.

These bibles speak directly to children and help them with current issues of the day in an easy to understand format. (see below)

Children and teen bibles are expensive for needy families. Many middle class families can afford to provide Christian materials and bible for their children. However, many working class and low income families in rural and urban areas have to decide to put food on the table or purchase a $30-$35 children's bible. Therefore, our children's bible program is designed specifically for children in working and low income families.

The total amount of the funds raised for this program (10,000) will go directly into purchasing new or gently used children and teen bibles.

You can also purchase children’s bibles directly from our partner, "Good Ruby Apple, Christian Book and Gift Store". When you make your purchase you can say, "This bible is for the Christian Army" and the clerk will provide you with a "tax donation letter" with each and every bible purchase.

We hope to reach our financial goal by December 15, 2017 in order to have bibles in the hands of children of needy children in Arizona by Christmas! However, this program is continuous from year to year.

If you have further questions, please call  email us at info@christianarmychurch.org.

Thank you!
