Christian Myers

Christian Myers is a 10 year old boy who is suffering from a very rare case of bone marrow disease called Aplastic Anemia. 

Christian has been in isolation since the 19th of April while the diagnosis was being made, and he must remain isolated because of his inability to fight off any illness. One blood transfusion has already been completed, but it does not last long, and it will not correct the problem. 

We do not know what is ahead for Christian yet. If a bone marrow transplant match can be found, the medical team would have to kill off any existing cells before he could receive it. (Their first choice would be his only sibling, his younger sister, Sophie, who just graduated from kindergarten.)

Chris, his father, works for Greenwood County and has exhausted his vacation time, sick leave, and time from the county sick bank. He has already taken time off without pay. Cynthia his mother, is currently working temporarily for the Post Office here in Greenwood, but has neither benefits nor sick leave yet. 

There will be lots of doctor bills and possibly out of town travel for them in the near future.

There is a lot of unknowns for this family at this time so any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
