Chris’s Medical Cost & Care

Chris went into the ER last week for what he thought to be kidney stones. After the ER did multiple tests, they sent him home with a referral to an oncologist. Having so many questions and very few answers from Adventist Health, we came to Doctors Hospital in Modesto for a second opinion. Once in Drs, they again did a few tests and the immediate following morning sent Chris into surgery to have a rapid inguinal orchiectomy. The CT scans show conclusive that it was not only a mass in one testicle but in his lymphnodes as well. We’ve been at Drs since Friday and are expected to go home soon. Chris will meet with an oncologist in Sonora once pathology has determined the stage of Testicular and form of cancer Chris has. As we all know, Chris moved up here to be present in our lives and just began a new job. Even though I was able to get him insurance through Champ VA, my share of cost is extreme, 40% and 60% for specialty. For everyone who is unaware; Chris and I are also expecting our Son to be born in just a few weeks, along with a move to our new home. Medical costs are the very last things we want to focus on for him and myself. I would like it if Chris could take all of the time he needs to heal and go through what we need to go through with his health rather than focus on a any financial burdening due to it. We appreciate every dollar sent, every prayer made and every attempt from all of our family and friends in making this time in our lives a bit less stressful.
