For reasons unbeknownst to us, the most amazing and caring people often find themselves in the most difficult of circumstances. With a heavy heart we regret to inform everyone that a series of unfortunate events has stuck our beloved friend Chris Phung, as his life was cut unfairly short this past week. Chris had been fighting courageously these past few days, with his loving girlfriend Angeline, his beautiful family, and his close friends by his side the entire way. We are all devastated to lose such a genuinely caring human being, as he brought so much joy and happiness into so many lives. The impact he left on those around him truly reveals the kind soul that he possessed.
Chris was truly one of a kind. He was extremely intelligent, surpassing all expectations in anything that he did. In just a few months from when he started his job in the legal department at General Atomics, he had been recognized for his work and promoted twice. He was preparing to go to law school and had hopes to attend NYU. His selflessness and generosity carried on until the last days of his life. Chris had decided to be an organ donor early on and because of his noble decision he was able to save 4 lives. We will always remember him as a hero.
The funds that you will kindly be providing will go 100 percent to Chris's medical and funeral costs. You will be helping his parents in this time of need, as they had to indefinitely take time off of work to care for their beloved son. Those of you who know Chris know that he was never the one to seek attention or ask for help even when he needed it. He was always there for others in their times of need, and we hope that we can do the same in his honor. We know that he would be grateful knowing that his family was being taken care of during this devastating time. Not having to worry about carrying 100 percent of the financial burden due to his passing, will certainly provide the family with some financial relief. Even the smallest of donations would mean the world to Chris and his family.
