Chris' Battle For His Life

Hi everyone, my name is Megan Rucker and this FundMe page is dedicated to my brother, Chris Rucker. Chris has been affected by some very serious illnesses/diseases in his young life.  2 years ago, Chris was stricken with a very rare syndrome known as Guillain Barre in which his nervous system collapsed and left him paralyzed for several months. That is when his downhill struggle to maintain stable health began. Chris suffers from permanent nerve damage as a result of contracting the syndrome.  In the past year, my brother has been diagnosed with severe, chronic pancreatitis, which left him constantly in the hospital without much to resolve the extreme pain he was enduring.  There were seemingly no solutions to his neverending pain and discomfort. Now, I'll bring you up to speed with the present. My brother is beyond ill. He is critical. He is on life support.  The doctors believe his chronic pancreatitis is what caused this hospitilization. Here is the current situation... my brother has blockages to his liver, which have lead doctors to believe he may be a candidate for a liver transplant; he is bleeding internally and is receiving blood transfusions regularly; he has a major infection with a fluctuating fever; he is also on paralyzing agents to ensure that his ventilator is doing the breathing for him; in addition, his body is swelling up with fluids. My family and I discovered today that he will be transferred for a second time due to his worsening condition. He will now be taken to the Cleveland Clinic in hopes that the medical staff there can save my brother's life, since doctors believe they may be the only ones to do so. These funds would be used toward medical expenses that may accrue, transportation expenses of immediate family to support him during his battle for life, and additional unexpected expenses that may arise due to his unpredicatable journey. This transfer is immediate, therefore the funds are rather urgent! My brother is far too young and far too special to lose his life at the age of 28. He's a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend. Please help us to keep the faith and give him the best chances possible of survival.  There is not nearly enough words to describe how beyond thankful Chris, my family, and I would be for any feasible support!
