Help Support Chords and Vines
Kat Ellis started Chords & Vines more than five years ago. It's a weekly radio show, featuring an "indie" musical guest. We pair three of their songs with three different wines. It's our aim to help these independent artists gain an audience as well as promoting local venues, wines and beers. I, Tom Plant, have been her co-host for nearly two years. Each week we travel to a different venue, sometimes a winery, sometimes a brewery and sometimes something entirely different. Since day one the goal has been to keep the show free to the listener. Expenses, however have added up. We had to leave our Los Angeles based broadcast platform as we could no longer afford the air time. Recently my MacBook's video card died. It will cost $700 to repair it. It's nearly seven years old, so ideally it should be replaced with a new one. All of our equipment is getting long in the tooth. It's our goal to provide the best listening experience possible. That's why we are asking for your help. $5000 will help us get a new laptop, repair or replace old and tired equipment, get us back on our previous broadcast platform or a similar one as well as helping to promote the show to gain a broader listening audience. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any gift you can provide.+ Read More
Heartfelt thanks to Eric Holt-Giménez for his generous contribution. He joins Esther Henderson, Al and Jean Glaser, Scott Chappell and Rhythm Methodz for showing their support for Chords & Vines . We simply don't have the resources we need to do this by ourselves. It's our intent to make this show successful enough to get us back up on our feet. Thank you so very much!
As of this morning we have raised $400 toward our $5000 goal. Our deepest gratitude to Esther Henderson, Al and Jean Glaser, Scott Chappel and Rhythm Methodz. We are so very grateful. Monies being raised will help us with the expenses involved in running our radio show, helping independent artists, wineries, breweries and venues. Thank you so much for believing in us.
