JOIN CHIP’S FIGHT AGAINST CANCER
In mid- February, Chip began to experience pain and swelling in his abdomen and groin. Being a vital, active, and healthy individual, no one would have suspected that Chip would be diagnosed with Cancer just a few weeks later.
On March 7th, 2016, Chip was officially diagnosed with Stage IV testicular cancer. While this form of cancer has a high survivability rate, treatment will be costly and extensive. In just a short time since diagnosis, Chip has undergone three surgical procedures, numerous tests and scans, and will be starting chemotherapy in May. While insurance will cover a large portion of the medical bills, the remaining out-of-pocket expenses are mounting quickly; including indirect costs of transportation and lost wages.
Chip’s friends and family have started this campaign so that he may focus on treatment and recovery instead of the burden of financial stress.
