Chesters Medical Bills
On March 8, 2017, I woke up to find our cat Chester outside our door to our apartment. Crying, bleeding, and unable to use his back legs. He was just dragging himself with his two front paws. He literally pulled himself from the front yard to the back of the house and down the steps to our apartment door. Matt and I rushed him to the animal hospital. The vet said he got hit, most likely by a car.
Chester has urinary bleeding, a dislocated hip and a destroyed ligament. Without surgery his hip will keep popping out and we will have to keep bringing him back to the vet. Between x-rays, surgery, antibiotics, general care and after care, the medical bills are about $2,000.
Chester is our baby. Anything that anyone is willing to contribute is appreciated more than words could express.
Hey everyone! Chester got the staples removed on Saturday! He is doing well and extremely happy to be out of the crate and have the cone off of his head! The vet said to let him roam and walk around as he wants but to just watch that he doesn't jump to much. He has been walking around with a little limp but that is expected. Dr. Carter, a friend of ours who is also a vet, came over Saturday evening to check on him and show us some things we can do for physical therapy. It was very helpful. I'm apologize for not updating in a while. Here is a picture of Chester lounging after getting the staples removed.
Chester gets the staples out tomorrow! We're so excited to start his kitty physical therapy! Yayyyyy!!!!!
Chester had his check-up today and the Doctor said he is he healing beautifully! :) He is scheduled to get the staples removed next Saturday and then he will be able to roam around the house and not be in the crate anymore. We're so excited!!!
