West Louisville Chess Club

The West Louisville Chess Club was founded in May 2016 by the Louisville Urban League. Coach Corbin was appointed the senior coach.

We are fundraising to successfully compete in two regional tournaments and one national tournament. A good many of our chess athletes are from single parent households. That often makes it financially difficult for a many of our chess athletes to successfully compete in regional and national tournaments. 

This June 20, 2020 at the University of Louisville, the West Louisville Chess Club is sponsoring our own regional tournament! At our web site we will be posting details. This is a major step forward for the West Louisville Chess Club!

Also, at a meeting today with the Louisville Urban League, we are 100% committed to raising funds to compete in TWO national tournaments, TWO regional tournaments, and possibly taking a field trip to St. Louis, Missouri to see the Chess Hall of Fame. We need your support! Give...give what you can and when you can. All major donors should contact Mr. Lyndon Pryor at the Louisville Urban League.
