Chemotherapy Treatment (Temodor)

John went into cardiac arrest mid-october where he was taken to the hospital and brought back to life with chest compressions after the heart kept stopping. In doing the typical diagnostics a large Glioblastoma Multiforme tumor was found in his right temporal lobe & immediate surgery was recommended to resect the tumor. Following the resections, he had a second brain surgery after part of his skull leaked air, built pressure, and generated symptons steps away from death's door. After a second (2nd) ambulance ride for a sucessful patch-up (major surgery) we are still treating the glioa (quickly growing spider like tumor). This page is set ip to raise money to pay for his Temodor. He needs this medicine as soon as possible (yesterday). Temodor (or the equal generic brand) works by stopping the division (and therefore growth) of all cells in the huma body. Thereby reducing the capcity for the tumor to grow. Co-current with radiation (which just destroys every cell in its path) it is shown to greatly reduce the size and reccurence of brain tumors.

He begins radiation thearpy tomorrow 'pro-bono' through the local hospital. Disability has been filed but any type of payment is months out. Granted his prognosis is "Not Good" and treatment does have negative side effects... John wants to be treated now and not later. The truth is, he has never carried health insurance and we have always paid out of pocket for his medical expense. However, this is one time the expense is too large for the assessts on hand to cover all and we need your help to reach this goal. The goal of 18,128$ is to to pay for his full round of chemotherapy treatment with (Temodor) so we can get it started sooner than later. We have had so many unexpected expenses... ANY help toward this cause (getting him his chemotherapy drugs) would help John Henry Forrest and this family tremndously.
