Chemo for KK

KK went to the ER in April of 2018 with chest pain and not feeling well. After the PET scan the ER doctor told her the horrible news. KK was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that metastasized into her liver, lungs and stomach. In early May KK had surgery to remove the cancerous part of the colon. Thankfully the surgery was successful. She had to wait a few weeks for her body to recover before starting chemotherapy, and at the end of May she began her journey. Chemo took a toll on her body, mind and spirit, but being the tough women that she is she persevered through the pain.
In November of 2018 she finally (after an insurance battle) was approved for her Pet Scan to see how the chemo was working. Her doctors were amazed by the results and after hearing the news it was better than we could have ever imagined!
No cancer in her lungs, colon, or stomach, and the masses in her liver decreased by 50%! So KK pushed on with chemo with a more optimistic outlook.
On January 16th, KK went to chemo at her scheduled time and they turned her away because she did not have the $2000 of her $6000 deductible. KK has been thru so much and we don't want anymore setbacks to keep her from being cancer free. This is why my family and I are asking for help. We need these funds quickly so that she does not miss another treatment. If you feel it in your heart(and can afford to) PLEASE help us in her battle to beat cancer!
Just wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to helping KK become cancer free! I am Sandy and KK is my sister in-law. She has been a part of my family for 22 years and has always been there for myself and our family. She has treatments every other week. The medicine is $2000 for each treatment. This money will be taken out given straight to her treatment center. Once her deductible has been meet, additional money will be spent towards past medical bills. KK misses work because of these treatments. This has caused some financial burdens. Thank you so much for your part in helping take away some of these financial burdens.
