Chelsey's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
My cousin Chelsey has been battling Cystic Fibrosis since she was a young child. Although she has persevered to the best of her abilities despite her challenges, the progression of her disease the last few years have left her incapable of work and affected her quality of life.

In December 2017, her disease took a turn for the worse and left her on a ventilator requiring a double lung transplant in order to survive. Thankfully, at the Toronto General Hospital, on January 5, 2018, Chelsey received her double lung transplant and a second chance at life. She has seen many hurdles so far, since she was in such a critical state beforehand.

Her husband, Corey, has not been able to work, as he has been by her side along with her family since December.

As of now she is still recovering in the hospital, and is slowly making progress. When she is well enough to go home, she will have to take costly anti-rejection pills for the rest of her life, which are not covered under any health insurance plans.

Chelsey is like a sister to me and I am hoping that this go fund me page will ease some of her financial strain that she will be faced with when she goes home.

No amount is too small, every penny counts.
