To stand united for Puerto Rico and collaborate with Puerto Rican chefs to feed our people during this time of need.
Chefs De Borinquen or "Chefs of Puerto Rico" is a group of professional chefs from different parts of the USA, that is planning to head to Puerto Rico to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The Organized group of chefs will be teaming up to prepare meals for people who were affected by Hurricane Maria. Meals will be distributed at the top three most affected areas - Zone 3-Arecibo, Zone 6- Ponce and Zone 12- Ceiba.
The tentative dates for this project will be Nov 5 - Nov 7, Nov 12 - Nov 14, or Nov 19 - 21.
List of Items Needed:
-Food- anything from canned food, dried food, meats and vegetables.
All the donated food will be used to prepare a hearty meal for people in the shelters.
-Water
-Equipment- Any kitchen equipment that can be used to cook there such as, cutting boards, peelers, storage containers etc.
-Monetary Donations - Every little bit counts. The funds will be used to buy additional food and water to prepare the meals.
In addition, we are looking to partner with any organizations that are willing to help, plan, or execute this project.
