Chazzan Peter's move to Austin, TX in support of Yeshiva communities!
Kehilat Ohr HaMashiach in Austin is welcoming Peter as their Chazzan, and he will also be traveling to support other kehilot in Texas and the United States. This will greatly expand Peter's cantorial training ministry within the Yeshiva in an even more personal and intimate way.
There are many expenses involved with his move, especially as his elderly mother will be moving into a memory care facility here in Austin as well.
Chazzan Peter will be moving from Las Vegas at the end of September and would so much love your support in his new ministry opportunities and in caring for his mother.
Peter's bio:
Creates and directs exciting, innovative, and contemporary worship experiences and educational programming for adults and children. Implements keen ability to identify key programming needs, and develops strategic plans for successful implementation.
Over 45 years serving Jewish Synagogues and Temples. Served as Rabbi and Cantor for a 750 family congregation. Developed 30 families into a 300 family congregation with over 300 children in the religious school in three years. Motivates adults with the addition of traditional Hebrew Liturgy in their worship to desire the knowledge of Hebrew and the basic understanding of Jewish customs, calendar and traditions thus successfully graduating scores of adults as they are called to the Torah and chant their Torah portions.
Educated and trained thousands of children for their B’nai Mitzvot. Reaches out to congregation and local communities and creates and directs semi-professional choirs and dance troops, as well as musical and dramatic productions.
