There's a new year coming for Charmed, and Jukebox and Lady Ru'etha are going to try to be a part of it! This year, we're applying to present classes as well as liveblog and recap the parts of the con we have permission to present for those who can't be there in person.
We've got our hotel space handled, so that means our primary expenses are plane tickets (which we're budgeting $250 per person for) and meal expenses (which we're budgeting $125 per person for, primarily because it's a weekend at a hotel and eating out is really the only option). That means our base goal is $750. If we manage to get more than that, the additional funds will be used to get Lady Ru'etha's other play partners to the con, none of whom have been to Charmed before.
As with last year, we are offering a few little incentives for people who want to donate to the cause. But in addition to individual rewards, there will be milestone rewards! At $325, $750, $1200, $1650, and $2100, Lady Ru'etha and myself will each record an MP3 version of one of my hypnotic inductions from the EMCSA and release it for free on Tumblr. These usually time out to fifteen minutes, so that could be as much as 75 minutes of free hypnotic content. (Although really it's more "pay what you want" than free, but that's still a lot of hypnosis.)
We really hope that this pays our way--we love the hypnosis community and want to believe our presence will add something to the con, but for the folks that aren't able to be there, hopefully you'll see something that will entice you to make a donation.
