Charlie's Service Dog Fund
Donation protected
My daughter Charlie is 4 years old and was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 18 months old. Since her diagnosis she has received upwards of 40 hours of therapy every week. She works so hard but still struggles and has some safety issues. A service dog would offer Charlie a sense of safety in new environments, protection and comfort when experiencing meltdowns, and could even help increase her verbal abilities which is huge for us as Charlie also has apraxia of speech and is non-verbal. Service dogs are an extremely beneficial tool for children with Autism and as Charlie's mother I want nothing more than to see her happy and live a full life. I, her therapists, and the rest of her family feel that a service animal would be extremely beneficial for Charlie.
A service dog for Charlie would mean a constant companion, an aid at school and other unfamiliar and triggering environments, and protection against eloping and wandering. We are asking our family and friends to help us raise the cost of the service dog and its training. We appreciate any and all help.
