Charlie the dog for Tadhg

Donation protected
This campaign is for my 10 year old grandson Tadhg. The money raised will go directly towards buying a dog and paying an expert to train the dog as an assistance dog for Tadhg who is a wheelchair user. It will also cover everything the dog needs, bedding, kennel, bowls etc.

The following is a short message from Tadhg to explain his needs:

'My name is Tadhg Murphy. I'm 10 years old. I'm a wheelchair user and I have a syndrome called Arthtrogryposis. When I was 6 years old I had to get my legs amputated. I was in hospital for a month after I got my legs amputated. I remember having phantom pains in my toes, but my toes weren't there anymore. Sometimes I need help as I can't do a lot for myself. I would love to have my very own assistance dog to help me with things like opening doors, getting my school bag, getting dressed, and to get help for me if I fall out of my wheelchair. I would name my dog Charlie and I would love him or her to be a golden retriever. Charlie would change my life forever in a great way. '

It will mean the world to Tadhg to have his very own assistance dog, he will have more independence than he's ever had. He will also have a companion. His life will change for the better.
