Charlie was on his way to the PA Farm show in Harrisburg PA on the morning of January 12, 2019 with his girlfriend, her son, daughter, and two grand babies when he was struck by a car traveling over 100 mph while fleeing from the police.  The driver is not insured.

Charlie was ejected from the truck and suffered life threatening injuries.  He was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital in Camphill PA.

Charlie spent over a week in coma and over two weeks in the ICU and is still currently in a Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit in York PA.

Along with the many injuries suffered, his most serious injury is a Traumatic Brain Injury.  He will require continued therapy to try and recover as much brain function as possible.  At this time, all the doctors will tell me is "as much as they know about they brain there is twice as much they don't know".  So they are unable to tell me how much of a recovery he will make, or how long it will take.

Currently,  we do not know if or when he will be able to return to work, or what kind of long lasting effects he will have from his brain injury.

The medical insurance he carried on his auto policy has already been exhausted already, and his medical insurance will only cover so much.  So I am raising funds to help pay his expenses.
