Charlie Cat's Surgery Fund

When we adopted Charlie Cat in January 2015, we found out immediately that he had kidney disease and one of his kidneys barely functions. He's been on special medication since then and on daily subcutanious fluids for nearly all of that time.

Recently, we took him to have some bad teeth removed, and to have a follow up on some high numbers that showed up in his last blood test. It wasn't good. His gall bladder was enlarged and his liver enzymes had skyrocketed. A needle biopsy was performed and sent off for testing and his x-rays and ultrasound shared with other professionals. Today, we received the news that, while he has no tumors and shows no signs of cancer, it still could be lymphoma in the very early stages. It could also be about a half-dozen other things, too. The only way to know for sure is to do exploratory surger and take a piece of his liver, pancreas, and intestines for indepth evaluation.

We've already spent $1200.00 on him this month in veterenary care costs. That doesn't include the cost of his regular medications and sub-cutaneous fluids. I'm including a photo of his two latest vet bills, for the sake of transparency.

We will need these funds ASAP. The sooner they can do the full biopsies, the more likely we can keep whatever it is treatable.

I can't lose my little buddy. He is not a pet. He is my mental health therapy companion. He is my wife's little baby. He's more than a cat. He's family for us, and we both need him.

Those of you that know Connie and I know how grateful we were last time folks helped out. Connie recently did a round of crochet commissions to raise some funds that went towards some of his vet bills last month. We will be so grateful, so thankful, for any help we receive, even just a dollar.
