Charles' Eye Surgery/ Recovery Fund

Hi, my name is Charles Nicholls and welcome to my journey! For 31 years I have been bullied, abused and constantly nagged about my eyesight. As you can see I have to wear bifocals that are fairly thick to do everyday things. Bifocals for the average wearer of them usually is in the later years of life when the eyesight is failing. I have had to wear them unfortunately pretty much since I was born, due to having cataracts removed and no lens in the eye since then. This has resulted in me being unable to find jobs and feel unappreciated because people could not see past the eyesight issues.
In the near future that will change. I am scheduled for lens implants and a corneal transplants in August 2015. The corneal transplants will be in Sept. 2019. This means no more glasses other than to read. The surgery will give me more freedom and confidence than I ever had and ever will. The risk is massive and potentially could not work also.
The problem? Well that's why I would like your help! See the surgery and the medication is not covered here in Canada (surprisingly), and will not only be hard on me but my recovery time is over 6 months. The other issue is my meds and loss of employment will put a strain on me financially. I thank you for stopping by and hope this is inspiring to you and that you will be able to help me! And yes once the surgery is done there will be an update with pics!
2019:Corneal transplant in March. The lens insertion has settle in left eye, but right eye has not been as easy to deal with
