YIELD Youth Initiative Embracing Lasting Development is fundraising

Survival Supplies Project- Cambodia and Vietnam
We are the Youth Initiative Embracing Lasting Development (YIELD), a student-run nonprofit devoted to increasing resource access in underserved communities. Our goal is to mitigate socio economic imbalances in learning, whether locally or abroad. Currently, we are fundraising for disadvantaged Southeast Asian students living in Cambodia and Vietnam. We will be visiting Orphan Center Spean Kaek located in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia and Như Nghĩa Blind school, located in Southern Vietnam. Our objective is to supplement the orphans with direct resources like school supplies, learning materials constructed by our volunteers, and ensure they are well-positioned for educational opportunities.
With the gracious help of former Cambodian Secretary of State at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Pou Sothirak, and the nonprofit Love 2 Yêu, we plan to conduct personal visits in June 2024. The children living in these facilities come from all walks of life, but have commonly experienced economic poverty, societal stigma, and developmental challenges.
YIELD has raised $34,725 for all of our programs. In the past, we have had success with Casa Hogar de los Niños, an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. After fundraising, collecting 2,000+ articles of clothing, and creating educational study packs, we traveled across the border to allocate the donations. Our most recent project took place in South Korea, aiming to assist the Chungyangwon, Sinaewon, and Emmanuel orphanages. The students of Chungyangwon and Sinaewon received backpacks full of school supplies, financial assistance, and other specially requested items. While YIELD was unable to personally visit Emmanuel, the orphanage also received a donation.
With your support, we can continue our mission of making a meaningful difference in the lives of underprivileged children. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of these students. On their behalf, we thank you in advance for your consideration and support.
