Western Neighborhoods Project is a 501(c)3 California nonprofit, formed in 1999, that preserves, interprets, and shares the diverse history and culture of San Francisco's west side. We give history talks and guided walks; produce a biweekly podcast and public programs that support local businesses; conduct oral histories; and share articles online and in a quarterly membership magazine. In support of this work, WNP also manages a citywide photo archive called OpenSFHistory.
