About The Golden Carrot, Inc.
We provide lifetime sanctuary for older and managably disabled horses. A lifetime of service to humanity, in which they were injured or aged out, has earned them a peaceful retirement. They live in a herd environment every day, with individual stalls to be sure each horse's dietary and medication needs are met. When our facility is full, we help to place older or disabled horses in suitable homes. We also work with other rescues who adopt horses out, and also try to help horses who do not fit our mission statement to find suitable homes. We work with Animal Services as well.
