The Beat Goes On Marching Band

Hi Everyone! On behalf of the entire The Beat Goes on Marching Band, we* want to ask for your support to help send the band ‘across the pond’ in 2026. Here’s the band’s story:

The Beat Goes on Marching Band (TBGO) Motto:

“Bringing more smiles per mile”.

Our Mission: "Encourage a life-long appreciation of music and participation in the joys of music-making through exuberant performances at local, regional, state, national, and international community events while reliving the best parts of the marching band experience that we fondly remember."

We're really excited!! The Beat Goes On Marching Band has been invited to participate in the Liverpool WaVes Music Festival in Liverpool, England July 2026. The festival showcases a vibrant array of musical talent contributing to a multicultural celebration of music. To get there, we need your help. Figuring out how to get 100+ people, their instruments, and equipment across town can be daunting. Now imagine getting them across the Atlantic to England! The funds raised in this campaign will be used to defray travel expenses.

TBGO is an international-award-winning all-adult, volunteer marching band home-based in the Pacific Northwest; we also have participants from Ohio, Texas, and California. The band typically plays in parades and at community events in Oregon and Washington - you may have seen us at the Oregon State Fair. We also get invited to perform in places like the Golden Days Parade in Fairbanks AK, Vancouver Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland, Bahamas, San Francisco CA, Bristol RI, Savannah GA, San Antonio TX, as the sole band representing the United States in the Shanghai Tourism Festival and on the Great Wall of China. In the ‘down under’ summer of 2023, we participated in the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide Australia and in March 2025 we participated in multiple Mardi Gras parades in Galveston TX.

Reaching our fund-raising goal means that more members of the band will be able to participate and more band members means a more robust sound, as well as talented twirlers, an energetic dance squad, and a color guard as we march along the streets of Liverpool parade route.
