BASE Jumping World Record Attempt Fundraiser
In honor of the 100 year anniversary of the passing of the 19th Amendment which gave women their right to vote in the US in 1920, I have decided to attempt to set a World Record at the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho. This event will be taking place on October 24th, 2020, weather permitting, with October 25th- 27th as back- up dates. It will be an attempt for the Most BASE Jumps in 12 Hours by Human Powered Ascent! I'm attempting this record to honor all the brave women and supportive men who fought so fearlessly to achieve the right to vote for women...which I certainly intend to use next month! Along with this record attempt I thought it would be wonderful to raise funds for the Shane McConkey Foundation...an organization started by an incredible woman who is on a mission to change the world for the better. Along with raising environmental awareness, donating to causes that benefit environmental education, and keeping mother earth healthy and strong, the Shane McConkey Foundation honors one of the most influential and talented extreme sports athletes ever to walk this earth: Shane McConkey! During his life, Shane inspired so many of us to live to the fullest, love what we do, and achieve our wildest dreams. In fact, one of my favorite BASE jumps, the McConkey Rollover, was dreamed up and first tested by Shane McConkey!
