With 90% of everything we use daily arriving by sea, seafarers are essential to our lives. Our mission is to provide them with comfort, wellness, and care during their time in port.

John's Journey to Safety:

Meet John, who faced uncertainty when he learned his ship was likely to be abandoned. With no way to return home, he turned to Seafarers’ House for support. Thanks to our quick action and partnership with the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), John received crucial advice, half of his owed wages, and a ticket home. Grateful for the assistance, he left a heartfelt note and a donation as a token of appreciation.

The Herca-1 Crew’s Challenge:

In another example, the crew of the Herca-1 faced severe challenges while docked in Port Everglades, unable to disembark and struggling with limited supplies. Seafarers’ House, in collaboration with the ITF, provided critical support by arranging fresh provisions and addressing financial concerns. We organized pizza parties and Greek dinners to lift their spirits during a tough three-month repair period. When the Herca-1 finally set sail, the crew expressed profound gratitude for the unwavering support they received.
