Every year, thousands of dogs across the country end up in overcrowded shelters, many facing uncertain futures. Randolph County Animal Shelter, a dedicated nonprofit, works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home countless dogs in need—but right now, they need our help to continue their lifesaving mission.

Unlike some shelters that receive substantial county funding, RCAS is an independent nonprofit, relying almost solely on donations and community support to provide food, shelter, and medical care for animals in need.

Why This Matters

Nationwide, animal shelters are stretched thin, but in many areas, the crisis is even more urgent. RCAS takes in abandoned, abused, and stray animals that would otherwise have nowhere to go. Their work doesn’t just impact their community—many of the animals they take in find their way to other areas of the country that have higher adoption rates. This, and the care they provide on a daily basis, helps ensure dogs have the shot they deserve at a second chance in life, no matter where their future families might be.

To continue their work, RCAS urgently needs funding for:

• Safe & Secure Kennels for Dogs: $13,000

• Electrical & Winterizing Upgrades for Shelter Barn: $20,000

• A Part-Time Staff Member for Daily Care: $7,500

• Outdoor Dog Houses for Protection & Comfort: $2,300

• Heating & Essential Equipment for Harsh Weather: $1,500

• Bark Park & Play Area Enhancements: $2,050

• Maintenance Tools & Supplies: $1,050
