Lindenhurst Community Cares Coalition

The Lindy Cares Color Run is a fun, family-friendly event designed to promote physical fitness, community engagement, and raise awareness for substance misuse prevention and youth wellness. This 5K run/walk invites participants of all ages and abilities, from competitive runners to casual walkers, to join in a vibrant experience where they are doused with colorful, non-toxic powder at various checkpoints along the route. The event will be held in Lindenhurst at a local park or public space, featuring registration tables, color packets, and event information. Along the 5K course, volunteers will be stationed to guide participants and ensure safety, with water stations provided for hydration. After the run, a celebratory atmosphere will take place with music, food, and vendor booths offering resources on health and wellness for families and youth.
