My name is Darenda and I’m the founder and president of Izzy Wildlife Rescue & Rehab. We are a home based wildlife rescue out of Milford, Tx. We support Ellis, Dallas, Hill and Johnson county with wildlife calls. Be it orphaned, kidnapped or injured animals we do our best to get them healthy so they can be released back to the wild. Our motto is Rescue, Rehab, Raise, Release and Repeat.

I’m coming to you today in hopes that you can help get us some new transport wheels (or new to us). Our current vehicle has been great for the last 6yrs, well on her way to 300,000 miles. Our current vehicle doesn’t have much left in her and we are in desperate need of a vehicle so we can continue to take care of the animals in our care. We aren’t looking for new, we are looking for dependable. We need something that can transport crates and kennels with live animals. We have vet visits on just about a weekly basis. The vet we’re using now is a good 45 minute drive one way, they’re aren’t many options for wildlife vets and we absolutely love ours. We also pick up donations for our animals weekly from amazing donors and some of our local pet stores. Our favorite transport drive is the one down to our soft release site where our older babies get set up on the last part of their journey before release. As a rehabber of rabies vector species, this isn’t a journey I can pass off to a volunteer. I’m afraid if we don’t get a more dependable vehicle soon our doors may have to close. Transportation is the key to getting these babies back to the wild where they belong. Please help us reach our goal so I can continue caring for our native wildlife. We help hundreds of animals each year and I definitely don’t intend on stopping any time soon.
