About Color Your Story Onto Mine
Color Your Story Onto Mine (CYSOM) is a Memphis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit using trauma-informed creative expression to help survivors of violence, incarceration, and systemic harm reclaim their voice and healing. Through The Newborn Method™, our signature approach, we blend expressive arts, emotional literacy, and faith-rooted recovery to build community, dignity, and resilience. We serve adults and youth impacted by trauma, including survivors of childhood abuse, sex trafficking, homelessness, incarceration, and addiction. CYSOM’s programs include healing art workshops, peer-led support circles, reflective journaling, reentry support, storytelling archives, and memorial exhibitions. We also train advocates, artists, and leaders to use art and testimony for systems change.
