Hope's Hip Surgery

Urgent Help neede for Hope
Hope needs help from the wonderful, big-hearted people on gofundme.com. She is a 3-year old blue small Pitbull. She was rescued by Alternative Humane Society on a Wings of Rescue mission. Hope had a very rough life in California, being used as a bait dog and then was overbred. She arrived recovering from Mastitis and from untreated injuries from her time as a bait dog.
After arriving at the fosters home her foster mom quickly noticed she
won't use her right hind leg. A trip to the wonderful vets at Northshore revealed why. As you can see by the x-ray and it was explained to her it looks as though during her stint as a bait dog they tried to rip her limb from limb and her right hind leg was pulled out of the socket. This poor sweet peanut lives every day in pain.
After several consults and a few more they have learned that there is a great deal of hope for our Hope. She needs surgery as soon as possible. The ball from the femur ball joint needs to be removed re-position in the hip socket. Hope will then live a relatively pain-free lifestyle for a great many years. Hope will finally get the chance she deserves to be someone furever fur baby. She has won her foster family’s hearts completely and deserves to have a chance at a happy life.
Hope loves kids, snuggles on the couch, treats and long nights at home by the fire. She has so much potential to live out her life as a true ambassador for her breed. Please help us in giving Hope the chance she deserves. And keep watch for continued updates."
