Naki Ohana Fire Relief Fund

The traumatic fire in the Kaua`ula Valley that ravaged so many homes unfortunately took Chardell's as well. Chardell Naki & her husband has four keiki all under ten years old; 8, 7, 6, 1.5, & 3 months . She is born & raised from Lahaina , Maui. And Lahainaluna High School alumni 2005.
Everyone in the hale could smell the thick smoke pouring in all around them "but no one thought it was so close". Before anyone knew it they had to evacuate within 2-3 minutes and the blazing heat from the fire was right behind their house! What's difficult to still think about is that some ohana had a hard time coming out of the chaos of falling down homes in engulfing fire, and now they have lost contact with each other. The Naki Ohana do not have a hale to call their own. They left with literally no belongings urgency of the situation. No food or goods, but they gratefully have each other.
The GOAL is $5,000 for this ohana to start a foundation for a new hale. The plan is to rebuild their home and use resources in the community, state, and federal agencies. The $5,000 will help the ohana meet basic care needs for the beginning of their journey and to buy some materials for rebuilding.
IF you are the Naki ohana and would like to get in touch please visit Chardell Facebook and leave a message. She will attempt to check it regularly.
You can help by sharing this and keep them in your prayers.
