Cancer Surgery for Chang

Hi my name is Lisa and I want to tell everyone about my baby Chang. We found him outside our fence on Stelzer Rd. Luckily we was able to catch him and bring him in safe. He was eaten alive with fleas, no tag, no microchip and not neutered. We hunted for his owner with no luck so we gave him a home with us. We tell people he came from the drunk stork because he is just too sweet to have been unwanted.
He healed all up, got fixed, shots and a" temporary name". We then discovered his allergies and put him on special food. He has been the sweetest, calmest dog I ever met .He only wanted food, water and a warm place to sleep.
I ended up with my own medical issues requiring surgery and complications causing me a stroke and become bed-bound. Chang has been by my side the whole way. He has developed some amazing talents including greeting all these in coming doctors and therapists, staying between them and me when possible and keeping the mood lighter so I would not be so afraid...I do get scared of strangers. I also have PTSD and little Chang crawls on my chest and licks my hand or face to help bring me out of flashbacks and bad dreams. When I am better he lays there as constant comfort which I jokingly call my canine paralysis.
Michelle took him to be groomed and the groomer found a lump. We immediately we took him to the vet who did a cell pull then let us both know the worst news ever, the big C. My heart sank...I refused to believe it. To some people he's just a dog. To me he is why I wake up each morning. Why I work so hard at PT. Staring at these 4 wall would be unbearable without him. When he looks at me he makes me smile..when he tries to beagle howl like his sister he makes me laugh..He makes me want to be better so I can take him out places and dog events myself so I can proudly show him the world
Right now Chang needs and deserves all the help he can get. I never beg but I am now..... anything to help my baby-my world.
