Change a Very Special Man's Life
Donation protected
There is a very special man I worked with at Carthage College who could use our help. He doesn't know I created this site, so I am not going to share his name, but I will share his story.
This man is the kind of man who works for no credit. He's a superhero to so many students, but he often works in the background. Humble and kind, he loves students more than anyone I know. He works on their behalf diligently and with passion. He advocates for them, fights for them, and lifts them up.
When he's not working, he's taking care of his elderly mother. She lives at his home. His wife unexpectedly passed away a few years ago and their son lives at home. Last week, a driver hoping to pass the car in front of him hit a car in the other lane head-on. His son was in that other car. Thankfully, he is alive, but suffered a broken collarbone, broken ribs and broken pelvis. He is now home recovering, and my friend is trying to balance caring for his elderly mother and hurt son, while working his full-time job.
This is where we can help. Let's show my friend -- who is always serving everyone else -- that he is seen and cared for -- even by strangers who simply know his story. Let's come together as a community and give what we can to help someone so very deserving.
Last month at Carthage, alumni and friends were invited to participate in "Carthage's Red and Ready Giving Day." In 24 hours, gifts ranging from $5 to $1,000 totaled over $300,000. When we come together, the result is powerful. Let's come together to give one man hope.
If you are unable to give financially at this time, your prayers are powerful. Please pray for comfort, peace, healing and provision for this man and his family and that they would experience God's love in powerful ways during this time. Please also share this campaign with your friends. Here is the link: https://www.gofundme.com/change-a-very-special-mans-life
Thank you in advance for making a huge difference and restoring hope to a man who could use some hope right about now.
