Champion Vietnam Vet Fund

$104,355 of $100k goal

This fund is set up to help Bobby Smith, a homeless Vietnam Vet who did an amazing act of kindness.

While looking for rocks and arrowheads in a San Luis Obisbo river Bobby found my 1999 Columbine High School Football State Championship Ring! I'd lost it over a decade ago while on a trip to California to speak to local high schools, churches and community organizations.

The amazing part is what happened next. Bobby took the ring to a local dealer who offered him thousands of dollars. He instead decided to "do the right thing," as he put it. The ring had my name and school name engraved on the side. Bobby decided to track me down to return the ring!

I am very appreciative of what he did and can't thank him enough for returning a piece of my history. What he did was incredible.

Thank you in advance for any contribution that will help me return the favor.

Thank you!

The real story, lesson, and memory that I will always remember from the series of events that has led us to this point is YOU. I personally appreciate Each and every person that donated money, shared kind words and offered hope to Bobby and other homeless veterans.

The generosity of the American people is undeniable. More than anything this fund is a reassuring example that America is good and that is why it is great.

At this time Bobby has received several thousand dollars to hold him over until we get the legalities, namely taxes, squared away. I am working diligently to expedite the process to ensure Bobby gets his half of the proceeds as fast as possible. Please pray for him on his new journey.

After taxes and Bobby gets his portion I look forward to getting the other half of the proceeds into the hands of people or organizations that can help other homeless veterans.

At this time I am pulling the fund down. Thank you all for the support, messages of hope, and donations.

I also want to say thanks one more time to all the men and women who have served our country. A special thanks to the men and women who have fought and died protecting the American people, culture and constitution. You are my heros.

God has indeed blessed the United States of America and as the lyrics go, "as we raise our voices, in a solemn prayer for God's blessing and peace for the nation."

Thank you!
