Chad Is Going Gray! "Gray be Gone"

Donation protected
Chad had been suffering massive headaches for some time.  On September 17, 2014, his symptoms took a turn for the worst.  He was sleeping more, eating less and constantly throwing up.  His vision was changing, headaches worsened and he suffered a major loss of balance.  One day, he lost all feeling of his left leg and fell down.  He hit his head so hard on the door he nearly lost consciousness.  That is when we knew Chad had to go see a doctor.

The next day Chad went into the ER where they performed a CT scan on his head.  The doctor's informed him of a  large mass growing inside his brain.  The doctors were not well equipped to take care of his mass so they transferred him to the University of New Mexico Hospital.   Later that night, he had an MRI done.  That is when the doctor broke the news to his family.  It was a brain tumor and cyst.  They explained they wouldn't know much more until they operated.

On Sunday September 21, 2014 he had brain surgery to remove the painful tumor.  The doctor's were able to remove a good portion of the tumor but not 100%.  Little did anybody know the life changing event that would soon take place.

Chad was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma.  It is a very aggressive brain cancer that quickly spreads into other parts of the brain.  There is no known cure for this cancer because of its relentless ability to attack the brain cells.

Some Glioblastoma patients live years beyond this horrible diagnosis.  Other cancer patients do not.  We are in a painful place as we continue to remain strong in our faith.

With the help of family, friends and people we may meet in the future, we are managing the medical expenses to the best of our abilities.  Our goal is to get him to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas because he has the best chances of survival with their advanced medical treatment.

Thank you so much for your continual prayers, generosity, and support in this difficult time of need. God bless.
