Hi everyone,
My name is Lauren, my friends name is Liz who I have known for 2 year. I soon came to find out that Liz was living with an invisble illness called Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a degenerative disorder. It produces a build up of mucus in the lungs and body organs. It is an life threating condition that damages the lungs and digestive system and it cant be cured. .
At 23 Liz underwent a double lung transplant due to the deterioration of her Cystic Fybrosis. Since transplant Liz's chooses to work part - time dispite having to take 20 medicatations daily on a good day. If Liz contracts a common cold which could be deadly to a CF tranplant recipient her medication could go up to 25 medications per day also adding on extra hospital visits and various tests. Due to the CF Liz's other organs started failings
Due to which has given Liz Diabetes which requires insulin pump. This will prevent Liz from injecting insulin up to 8 times per day.
Insulin Pumps are extremly expensive but will improve Liz's quality of life. So please donate to help us reach our
goal of $8000 so Liz can afford to purchase the insulin pump.
