Who we are
We are 3,000 Syrian children in danger of losing our education at Al Amal Teaching Centers. We demand our right to learn and call on international support to help us achieve our dreams!
Children of Hope is a child refugee led initiative. The campaign commenced on 4 April 2019 with a student press conference in Bekka, Lebanon. We explained our education crisis to global societies, responsible agencies, public policy makers and other influential world actors.
We are Children of Hope. We are the voices of Syria’s future leaders.
The Al Amal Teaching Centers are implemented by MAPs (Multi aid programs), a Syrian-led grassroots organization providing free informal education to 3,000 children across nine informal tented camps in Lebanon. The Lebanese curriculum, in addition to peace building, art therapy, psychological support, health literacy, and medical testing, is provided for grades K-6 in 50 mobile shipping caravans. The aim is to achieve high quality learning to secure a healthy and well-educated generation prepared to participate in building Syria’s future.
Our crisis
We have been uprooted from our homes, separated from friends and family, and deprived of basic daily necessities and human rights. The Lebanese Ministry of Education lacks the capacity to meet our community’s needs and humanitarian investment in long-term quality education remains scarce: over 250,000 displaced children are deprived of education in Lebanon.
MAPs has only secured funding for the first semester of the 2019 school year. Already, 150 Syrian teachers have been working without salaries for several months. Physical education and cultural studies have been eliminated from the daily schedule. And, school uniforms are no longer available. Every school desk will be empty if we don’t receive financial support.
Rates of child labour among refugees in Lebanon is the highest in the world. Through quality education programs, MAPs has successfully reduced rates of children labor and early marriage. The termination of our education program will have a detrimental impact on the fabric of life in our displaced Syrian community.

We are MAPs ( www.multiaidprograms.org), serving a total of 3,500 refugee children aged 4-15 in informal camps in Lebanon. We are registered as an NGO in Lebanon (9900/4) and in Germany (VR5668).
The funds raised from this campaign will go directly to supporting the children and their school. The funds will be transferred to MAPs' bank account in Germany (where we have our registration in Europe). The fundraising team are volunteers from Syria, USA, Germany, Norway and the UK who have been working to support the refugee teachers through specialisms in psychology and education as well as fundraising.

أطفال الأمل.. مبادرة نقودها كأطفال من مخيمات لبنان لنمثل طلاب 9 مدارس مختلفة، حيث نظمنا مؤتمرنا الصحفي الأول في 4 أبريل داخل إحدى مدارسنا في البقاع، ووجهنا رسائل للعالم للمطالبة بحقنا الطبيعي في التعليم مع 3 آلاف طفل سوري ضمن مخيمات لبنان.
لقد شرحنا أزمة التعليم للمجتمعات العالمية والمنظمات الدولية، وواضعي السياسات العامة والجهات الفاعلة الأخرى المؤثرة في العالم ، وتكلمنا طويلا عن دورنا ودور مجتمعاتنا السورية واللاجئة لسد هذا العجز والمساهمة في الحل في حال استمرار انخفاض الدعم .... و كذلك دور السوريين في المهجر بالتأكيد سيكونون فاعلين جدا ان تم التعاون بيننا كأطفال الامل وبينهم .
مبادرة أطفال الأمل، تمثل أصوات قادة سوريا المستقبل.
تم تنفيذ مراكز الأمل التعليمية من خلال منظمة مابس ( Multi-Aid Program e. V ) وهي منظمة انسانية مرخصة في المانيا بقيادة سورية توفر التعليم غير الرسمي المجاني لثلاثة آلاف طفل في تسعة مخيمات غير رسمية في لبنان منذ 7 سنوات.
يتم تقديم المناهج اللبنانية، بالإضافة إلى بناء السلام، والعلاج الصحي، والدعم النفسي، ومحو الأمية، والاختبارات الطبية، للصفوف من الروضات وحتى نهاية المرحلة الابتدائية في 50 صف مدرسي على شكل كرفانة ، مع تقديم تعليم للكبار عبر دورات محو الأمية، بهدف تحقيق تعليم عالي الجودة لتأمين جيل صحي ومتعلم على استعداد للمشاركة في بناء مستقبل سوريا.
أزمتنا:
لقد تم تهجيرنا من بيوتنا، وفصلنا عن الأصدقاء والعائلة، وحرماننا من الضروريات اليومية الأساسية وحقوق الإنسان.
حتى الان لم تستطع وزارة التعليم اللبنانية تلبية احتياجات مجتمعنا بإلحاق كل الاطفال بالتعليم ، ولا يزال الاستثمار الإنساني في التعليم الجيد طويل الأجل نادراً: "يحرم أكثر من 250،000 طفل نازح من التعليم في لبنان، أغلبهم في المخيمات.
لم تحصل المنظمة الراعية مابس إلا على تمويل للفصل الأول من العام الدراسي 2019، بينما يعمل 150 مدرساً سورياً بدون تعويض لعدة أشهر.
تم حذف حصة الرياضة والدراسات الثقافية من الجدول اليومي كخطة طوارئ لتقليص الكلف ، وكذلك الزي المدرسي لم يعد متاحاً.. سيكون الف مقعد دراسي فارغاً إذا لم نجد حلا لهذا الامر..
تعد معدلات عمالة الأطفال بين اللاجئين في لبنان هي الأعلى في العالم.
من خلال برامج تعليمية جيدة، نجحت مراكز الأمل في تخفيض معدلات عمل الأطفال والزواج المبكر للفتيات ، بالمقابل سيكون لإنهاء برنامجنا التعليمي تأثيراً ضاراً على نسيج الحياة في مجتمعنا السوري النازح.
رعاية طالب ومنع إنهاء التعليم!
التبرع بمبلغ 300 يورو فقط (350 دولارًا أمريكياً) سيقوم بتعليم طالب واحد لمدة عام أكاديمي، ويشمل ذلك الأدوات المكتبية وأجور المعلمين ورسوم الأراضي والأنشطة اللامنهجية المبتكرة لبناء قادة مستقبليين مرنين ومبتكرين وملهمين، كل قرش يتم رفعه يذهب مباشرة إلى مراكزنا التعليمية.
