Rosie the Cat's Medical Needs

Donation protected
It has been much too soon that I got the news that my dear cat Rosie has diabetes. I am Ken Ebert, from Taos, New Mexico; a former cat caregiver at Stray Hearts Humane Society Animal Shelter in Taos. I was laid off from the shelter late last July and have been unemployed since. Just this morning, 1/7/2016, I learned from the veterinarian that my cat, Rosie, has diabetes. She is ten years old. We have been together most all of her life, since she was three months old. She was born under a house trailer north of Taos. Her mother was feral. A good friend paid for the vet visit and tests. I could not afford it.

Rosie is going to need insulin injections, twice daily, for the rest of her life. This medicine is expensive. She will also need periodic visits to the doctor, as well as the cleanest, most beneficial diet available. Any donations, of whatever size, will make this treatment easier. In my unemployment I have fallen behind and now I find that a critical need has arisen, and I need to find a way for my cat to get the best medical care, and the best quality of life care available.

I need help with funding as soon as possible! Each day without insulin is a risk, possibly life-threatening.

Without the insulin Rosie is in danger of life-threatening blood sugar crises. Because of my financial situation I might well be weeks if not months away from affording the treatment. That's why I need help. I need to rest assured that my cat, Rosie, will be provided with the best medical care, along with all needed medicine and quality food, while I seek and find a job that will provide for these needs without hardship. The best possible stress-free environment, along with the appropriate food, professional care, and the crucial medicine, will keep Rosie at her best. This means the world to me, more than words can say. Rosie is a one man cat. She has little to no interest in humans other than me. She needs to be with me.

At this point I am scared that I will not be able to provide for her; maybe not fully for months. The job market is not good here, and I have mental health issues tht keep me from working two jobs. I would be grateful to no end if I could know that she will be cared for medically and domestically, while I take a menial job to get us through, while I search for something better, which may take several months if not more, and there are expenses that will be required, to prepare for better employment, car repair, some better clothes, and the most comfortable cat bed I can find. Rosie needs to have me with her as well. My hope is to have enough to cover all of these needs throughout the remainder of 2016, so I know that my cat will have quality of life while I work to achieve the point where I can provide for these needs on my own. Thank you, for listening, and for your consideration.
