These words speak truth in the life of Mike Dobson aka "Florida Mike." For the past ten years I had the privilege of watching Mike as a Husband, Father, Brother, Father-in-law and Grandfather. On August 12th, 2019 I said one of my hardest goodbyes at LGH alongside the Dobson family, as Mike joined his parent's to be with the Lord.

He was not just my boyfriend's father, but he was my second father. Watching him through the years I have learned a few things about him. First, he lived every moment to the fullest, always saying yes to adventure and never passing up an opportunity to be "the cool dad." Second, he loved his family and could not have been more thankful to become a grandfather. Times that we spent as a family, eating, playing board games or chasing the grand kids, brought him endless joy (especially if he was the center of it). Finally, his laugh was contagious, his jokes were awful, but his heart was incredible. He had one of the biggest hearts I have ever encountered and with a heart so large he found a way to make everyone he knew feel important. He always seemed to find importance in letting me know that he was glad I was a part of his family, officially or not.

Due to Mike's tragic motorcycle accident the Dobson family are left with extensive medical bills and end of life expenses. I started this go fund me in order to relieve the family during their time of grief and allow for an easier transition into their next chapter. Many friends, coworkers and family members have been asking what they can do to help and financial support would be their greatest blessing.
