I am looking to raise money to help pay for a lawyer to get my husban out of prison. My husband has been wrongfully convicted of a crime he did not commit. On Sept. 17 2013 my husband walked into the backyard to feed our livestock and discovered that there was a pack of wild dogs attacking some of the chickens. My husband ran the dogs off and that was that. Later that morning I was preparing to leave and discovered a badly beaten dog in the street. I checked to see if the dog was still alive, at that time neighbor came outside and seen that I was checking on the dog. She asked me if she could take the dog and I didn't see any reason for her to not take it. A little while later the police had arrived at my door and arrested my husband for beating the dog. As you can imagine we were completly shocked as to why he was arrested. Well, the neighbor that took the badly beaten dog had called the police and said that my husband beat the dog, which is completly untrue! My husband never touched the dog, the only interaction that he had with any dogs was the ones that he ran off that were attacking our chickens.

My husband was hauled off to jail over a lie! I feel that the neighbor lied because she simply did not like th color of his skin. My husband was forced into taking a deal for a third strike just so he didnt go to trial and loose. His public defender quit the case the day before we were going to trial. He told the judge that he could not take this man to trial because he did not want to participate in watching an innocent man be locked away for life. His new public defender talked him into taking the a deal for 3 years and 3 strikes. My husband did not deserve this!

Unfortunetly I still have to live next door to this neighbor and she is constatly harrassing me and my daughter. There is nothing that I can do about it.

I am asking for everyones help to raise the money to help hire an attorney to overturn his conviction and free him. Please help me save coach!!
