Cedar Grove Waves 2017 - 9/11 flag

CEDAR GROVE WAVES is in its 3rd year on the front lawn of Cedar Grove High School in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. The flag installation is a way to remember, educate and honor the 2,977 people who perished on September 11, 2001. The installation features flags representing the home countries of all of the victims with a marker infront of exact flag. The flags can be visited from September 11th to September 23.
Cedar Grove High School students are involved in the installation, maintenance and removal of the project.
The additions we are adding this year is formal ceremony on September 11th with a bagpiper opening the ceremony playing "Amazing Grace" and two trumpet players playing "Taps" to close it. We are creating age appropriate displays in our two elementary schools and middle school.
Of course we need to restock flags that are no longer usable for the event.
