Ceazon's Fight

Words a parent never wants to hear....your son has leukemia.

All of a sudden life takes an unexpected turn.  Chris and Karen were brought into a 'quiet room' to hear these life-changing words.  Hearing this devastating news about their 7 year old son, Ceazon, left them in shock and disbelief.  The tears were unstoppable as emotions and questions reeled inside their hearts.  What's going to happen to our son?  How are we going to get through this?

Karen noticed that Ceazon was feeling very tired, weak, and lethargic and brought him to their family doctor.  After some tests, she received a call from the doctor's office telling her to get him to the hospital right away as his hemoglobin levels were critical.

Chris and Karen rushed him to the hospital immediately.  Several tests later, they received the news....Ceazon has Pre-cursor B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

He has been through a lot in the past week and has only just begun his journey.  In his mother's words..."It hurts to see him hurt. So many needles, blood drawn, examinations, tests. My heart and my body weep inside. When he sleeps, I can cry.  Please keep us in your prayers. We need them so much right now...You never want to hear the words we heard tonight."

That night, Ceazon was flown by helicopter to the Children's Hospital at the London Health Sciences Centre.  In flight, he had a blood transfusion.  Two days later, a spinal tap, and bone marrow testing.  Now that Ceazon has started his chemo treatments, he will start to lose hair in 2 weeks.  The doctors have also confirmed that his blood clotting levels are not right to where he could just randomly start bleeding and is being closely monitored by the oncologist.

The days are long and Ceazon is understandably not his happy, cheerful, energetic self.  His moods are low and saddened as he is poked at and woken up repeatedly so that he can be properly monitored.

Family and friends have been sharing kind words of love and encouragement, and many have expressed their wishes to support Chris and Karen and their family through this very trying time.

Ceazon has a sister, Stori, who is 5 and two older brothers, Noah, 19, and Cameron, 17.  It will be difficult for them to live life as usual as either Karen and /or Chris will be with Ceazon in London.  With a diagnosis of ALL, life changes for everyone and everyone joins together to make life as easy as possible.

Please...join "Ceazon's Fight" today.

This gofundme opportunity is simply a gift of love to bless Chris and Karen and has been set up for family and friends who have expressed their desire to contribute through this very difficult time.

So many of you have already provided support through your love, encouragement, positive thoughts and prayers. For that we are all truly thankful.
