CDSA Immigrant Rights #StopGaryDeportations

Even though Chicago is supposed to be a Sanctuary City - a city that does not fully comply with federal immigration efforts, it has appropriated MILLIONS of dollars to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) deportation efforts through an agreement with Gary, Indiana that has allowed ICE to deport thousands of undocumented immigrants there. 

The Chicago chapter of Democratic Socialists of America has a message for the Chicago Aviation Committee members responsible for allowing these deportations to happen: Fuck ICE (and fuck you for supporting them)!

This benefit-concert fundraiser will go towards benefitting undocumented immigrants from Chicago by raising money for the Immigration Rights Committee (IRC) of CDSA, which is working to subvert ICE efforts in Chicago and surrounding areas by protesting at the site of deportations, raising funds for legal aid, raising awareness about the abductions and deportations of immigrants and refugees in our local communities, and fighting against the privatized and municipal profiteering from ICE's actions. Through music and generosity, a difference can and will be made. Because all undocumented immigrants are priorities for deportations under the Trump administration, now, more than ever, a movement to abolish ICE is not only necessary, but essential for the true execution of liberty and justice for all.
