Carver's Mural Project

Dear Family, Friends, and Carver HSES Community,
We are students at Carver School of Engineering and Science in Philadelphia. For our community engagement class project we decided to design and paint a mural to inspire and encourage our students. The mural will be painted at the entrance of our school. The focus of our mural is a quote from George Washington Carver, our school´s namesake. ¨Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom.¨
This money will be used to purchase supplies such as paint, rags, brushes, scaffolding and our muralist Kim Mehler. We need to raise the money by the end of April, to unveil at our school's Beautification Day. This event is important to us because it is a powerful quote that displays a positive message to all students, teachers, parents, and visitors.
