CARRY THE LOAD TEAM BLACK

First of All Thank You to all our family and friends who support us in this event every year.  A Very Special Thanks to our friends who allow us to walk in honor of your fallen loved ones who served this country with the highest of honor and sacrifice.  This year is Kara Blacks 5th year walking on Memorial Day in honor of the fallen she has chosen to walk for.  Kara and her grandmother started this journey 5 years ago to memorialize my late father in law and his sacrifice to our country.  Kara has placed 1st place the last 4 years in this event for all kids under the age of 18 in an event that is expected to top 38k participants this year. Because of her amazing accomplishments she has inspired a close group of friends from her cross country team to participate in the 2019 Carry The Load event in Dallas this year. to help offset the costs of my Mother in law paying for a rental van, registration,  hotels, and food to make it to the event we are asking our local community to help raise these funds so that these kids can honor our vets, fallen police officers, firefighters, and first responders.  This year has even more special meaning for our Buckhorn community as the kids will be walking in memory of our very own Jordan Collier who we tragically lost earlier this school year.  Jordan was set to join the military after graduation when her precious life was lost in a car accident.  On May 18th Carry The Load will be marching through Huntsville where our kids Team Black will be joining them in preparation for the main event in Dallas Texas this Memorial Day. We have been given incredible support so far from sponsors like Fleetfeet Huntsville to help buy proper athletic attire for the grueling event. All we need now is support from our awesome local town to help these kids start the summer off right and helping raise money for families of the fallen.  Any additional funds made over the request will go directly to the Carry the Load support.  Thank you again and God Bless.
